talkSpotlight on Nelson & Marlborough Corporate Events Guide, Team Building, Wedding Guide NZ by admin . Aaron Beard from the Corporate Events Guide recently visited Nelson to check out what’s on offer, he is a few ramblings from his trip…. Day one The Tasman region has a lot to offer in terms of tourism, corporate travel, and conferences. This was my first trip to the region and I was blown away with what it has to offer. Considering it is the geographical centre of New Zealand I am surprised more conferences aren’t held in the region, it certainly has the venues, the capacity, and a strong events industry. Adding to that, most of those in the events industry are locals or operators who moved to the region for the lifestyle so they are very passionate about the Tasman area. The moment I landed I was made to feel at home and welcomed, this is exactly the impression you want to give conference attendees or staff on a corporate get away. Just an 80 minute direct flight from Auckland, this surely the best destination for nationwide companies with offices in the North and South. First stop was the Anatoki Salmon farm in Golden bay, I love fresh fish so I pretty much drove straight there because the website made a lot of promises like ‘hot-smoking available for your freshly caught fish’, how can you resist that? Their website actually makes a lot of fantastical claims and as I sat in the sun with a cold beer trying to catch my first Salmon, I thought, yeah, this is pretty awesome so fair enough. It’s a great team bonding activity and then you get to eat a perfectly smoked Salmon caught by you and available in a variety of flavours. Highly recommend the garlic and basil! This would make a perfect lunch stop for one of the many wine tours in the area. Day Two I was picked by Sea Limousines at kaiteriteri beach, Sea Limousines are one of the top charter companies operating in Tasman Bays area. They offer scenic, fishing, and dive charters as well as land based tours to wineries and other local attractions. Specialising in exclusive groups, Jim and Terri are fantastic hosts who make you feel welcome and at ease from the moment you step on board. Tasman turned on some stunning weather but then it is the sunshine capital of New Zealand so expectations were high. The best place to experience Tasman Bays is from the water with a local who knows the area. Sea Limousines are also specialise in beach weddings are one of the few operators who have permission to do so in the Abel Tasman National park. It’s a magic place to tie the knot and there are hundreds of amazing different places to make your day unique. Day 3 The Nelson events and wedding industry… …coming soon! .
